Tigers Troll Themselves After Another Late Loss to Marlins
By Zack Jiang
The Detroit Tigers' season has been an absolute disaster. They're now sitting at 18-29 after a loss to the Marlins. In these times of despair, you really need a sense of humor to survive.
The official Detroit Tigers Twitter has had to witness the team's downfall throughout the whole season. Welp, it looks like they've finally had enough after the team's horrific blown lead against the Marlins.
The Tigers Twitter team has already dealt with the pain of losing through self-deprecation, but they couldn't laugh off their latest blunder. Up 2-0 in the ninth inning, the Tigers allowed five runs to lose the game 5-2. To top it all off, the game completed the three-game sweep for the 16-31 Marlins.
The Tigers are now seven games back in the Wild Card standings and have one of the worst offenses in the league. They are currently 29th in runs, hits, home runs, and RBI.
The Tigers head to Citi Field for a three-game series against the Mets next. Hopefully this time around they won't be as embarrassing, or else the team might end up deleting its Twitter account.
