The Boston Red Sox (46-41) will continue their road trip and finish their first half of the season playing against the Detroit Tigers (28-54), who have lost eight of their last 10 games.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET at Comerica Park. The game will be televised on NESN and Fox Sports Detroit, and you can live stream the game via a link on the MLB Streams subreddit.
Red Sox Lineup
Mookie Betts leads things off for the Sox, with Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts following suit. The struggling Andrew Benintendi is out of the lineup, as J.D. Martinez takes over in left field and hits cleanup.
Left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez will get the start for Boston, who in 17 starts this season owns an 8-4 record with a 4.79 ERA and has 102 strikeouts over 97.2 innings. It's been and up-and-down first half for Rodriguez, but he is coming off a start against the Yankees where he gave up just 2 runs over 5.1 innings with 5 strikeouts.
Tigers Lineup
Leading off for the Tigers is Victor Reyes, followed by Nicholas Castellanos and veteran slugger Miguel Cabrera. Brandon Nixon is cleaning up, while Jeimer Candelario hits fifth, ahead of Harold Castro and Niko Goodrum. The order is concluded by John Hicks and Jordy Mercer.
Detroit is handing the ball to rookie southpaw Gregory Soto, who over six starts owns an 0-2 record with an 8.44 ERA. Soto is definitely going through a learning curve with the Tigers, so it's hard to know what they can depend on once every fifth day with Soto, who in his last start against the Nats lasted 3.2 innings and gave up three runs on four hits.
