Tim Anderson Shows Love to Epic Bat Flip in Perfect NSFW Tweet While Sitting on Injured List
By Sean Facey
Tim Anderson may be held out of action due to injury, but that's not stopping him from spreading love for the bat flip.
The Chicago White Sox shortstop -- who has sparked plenty of controversy for his flamboyant use of the lumber this year -- gave major props to one player's tremendous bat flip on Twitter as he deals with an ankle sprain.
It's truly a mark of honor if your bat flip gets recognized by a true artist like Anderson.
The fourth-year big leaguer ruffled feathers of baseball purists with his own celebrations this year, but he's stood by his actions, saying that if a player can walk the walk, then they have the right to punctuate their success as they see fit.
And there's really no arguing with that. If you hit a walk-off grand slam like this player did, you ought to be able to do whatever you want with that thing.
Above all else, though, it's good to see that Anderson is using his time off to promote passion in the game. All too often, players on both sides of the ball are criticized for being too over-the-top and are labeled as arrogant.
Anderson has done his best to fight back against that stuffy, restrictive line of thinking with his play this year, and he's not about to let an injury stop him from stating it loud and clear.
