Tim Tebow's 2019 season as a minor league baseball player has come to an end, as the 31-year-old outfielder will miss the remainder of the year with a hand laceration he suffered last month.
According to reports, the injury was "in a really bad spot," which prevented it from healing in a timely fashion.

The Mets expect Tebow, who hit .163/.240/.255 in his first taste of AAA, to play in 2020 at age 32.
Tebow is expected to come back and play in 2020 for the New York Mets organization, but he'll need to produce at a higher level than he did this year at Triple-A. In 77 games, Tebow slashed a woeful .163/.240/.255 with four home runs, 19 RBI and 98 strikeouts in 239 at-bats.

Tebow played a lot better at Double-A last year, hitting .273 with 6 home runs and 36 RBI while making the Eastern League All-Star Game. However, he played like a very marginal player this season, making it even more unlikely that he earns a major league promotion.
At least he has a job at ESPN as a college football analyst and is engaged to South African model and former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, right?
