Tim Tebow Gives Auburn's Bo Nix the Ultimate Vote of Confidence
By Chris Pyo
Auburn fans will gladly take any and all support they can get to keep their season rolling, as they've jumped to a 3-0 start and are currently ranked No. 8 nationally.
And now, God might be speaking directly to Auburn quarterback Bo Nix through none other than Tim Tebow. Tebow was quoted as saying that he thought "God made him [Nix] for Gus Malzahn's offense."
Wow. That's the ultimate affirmation a college football QB could ever want. Bo Nix will definitely be winning the Heisman Trophy this year. There's no doubt about that. You can argue with the Almighty, after all.
In all seriousness, though, the Tigers have a tough slate of games ahead of them, with ranked opponents like Texas A&M, Florida and LSU all headed their way in the near future.
The freshman quarterback hasn't had the best of starts to the season, posting a 52.4% completion rate to go with 545 passing yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions over three games. But this is merely the beginning for him, and Tebow sees what the kid is capable of.
However, if the 2007 Heisman winner has any say, Nix should be able to handle all of these opponents with absolute ease. It'll be up to the rest of Auburn's players to support Nix as he tries to live up to Touchdown Timmy's lofty expectations.
After all, Nix already delivered what seemed to be a god-sent winning touchdown against Oregon in his first game. It won't be his last.
