Tired Theory That Tom Brady Gets Every Call Makes Zero Sense

There's this universally agreed upon notion in the NFL that referees treat Tom Brady like teflon when his pocket collapses, and we're not entirely sure where it comes from.

Has TB12 gotten the benefit of the doubt on a few tacky roughing the passer calls throughout his career? Absolutely, but that's bound to happened when your career spans 20 freaking years.

Speaking just in terms of 2019, however, that narrative is void. Through Week 16, there have been 140 unnecessary roughness and 127 roughing the passer penalties, which equates to a whopping 267 tally. Care to guess how many of those Brady has been the beneficiary? ZERO.

That says it all, folks, and proves that Patriots cynics woefully misconstrue New England's evident tendency to have the zebras on their side with Brady not being allowed to be touched in the backfield.

After all, the GOAT would rather the refs keep their flags in their holsters.

Again, don't let your disdain for the Patriots' dynasty blindfold you into endorsing outlandish conspiracy theories.
