Titans OT Taylor Lewan Tries to Woo Jadeveon Clowney to Tennessee With Not-So-Subtle Tweet
By Michael Luciano
When you mention Jadeveon Clowney's name, the one play everyone still always think about is his bone-crushing hit in the 2013 Outback Bowl against Michigan, as he knocked Wolverines running back Vincent Smith's helmet off while forcing a fumble that propelled South Carolina to a win.
Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan was matched up with Clowney for most of that game, and he evidently remembers it well.
With the former Houston Texan and Seattle Seahawk still somehow a free agent, Lewan tried to sway Clowney towards the Titans by posting the video of his famous collision against Michigan.
Eyeball emojis!
The Titans, along with teams like the Browns and Jets, have frequently been mentioned as a potential landing spot for the former No. 1 overall pick and All-Pro pass rusher.
If Clowney decided to come to Nashville, the fit would seem almost ideal, as a former outside linebacker and pass rusher like Mike Vrabel coaching up Clowney on one side, and budding star Harold Landry on the other, should help the Titans once again have one of the most feared pass rush duos in the league.
It's ridiculous that one of the game's best pass rushers has yet to find a team for the upcoming season. Tennessee not only has enough money to pay Clowney and is able to provide him with a scheme designed specifically for a player like him to flourish, but they also give him the chance to compete for championships. Win-win-win.
