Titans Star OL Taylor Lewan Suspended 4 Games for Failed Drug Test
By Aaron Halford

The Tennessee Titans will be without star offensive lineman Taylor Lewan for the first four games of the NFL season after the three-time Pro Bowler was suspended Wednesday for failing a drug test.
Wednesday's news is a big blow for Tennessee, who have playoff hopes in a wide open AFC South division.

Lewan is one of the game's best at his position, and without him up in the trenches things will be more difficult for quarterback Marcus Mariota, who himself is looking for a prove-it campaign.
The offensive lineman released the news himself via a video on Twitter. He got emotional during the clip, apologizing to Titans Nation and aiming to clear his name as a cheat.
Thank you to everyone who sees this video and supports me. My family and I are so grateful to the Tennessee Titans organization and fans for your support. I will post the polygraph information next. #NoBadDays pic.twitter.com/lE9iEMmLxw

Lewan went as far as to take a polygraph. The lie detector test aimed to prove that he had not knowingly taken the substance ostarine. The polygraph revealed supported his claim that he did not knowingly take ostarine, though that won't change his fate.

While he's still going to be suspended for four games, he's trying to save face and prove that he wasn't aware he was violating the NFL's drug policy. Who can blame him? It's certainly not unheard of for a player to accidentally ingest an illegal substance, and Lewan wants to protect his reputation and ensure that Titans fans know this was unintentional.
Though Lewan's loss will hurt the Titans, it's possible the team will be able to stay afloat in his absence, though they will have their work cut out for them as they face two prolific defenses in the first four weeks of the season, as they take on the Browns in Week 1 and Jaguars in Week 3.
