TMZ Leaks Alleged Audio of DeMarcus Cousins Threatening Ex-Girlfriend Over Issue With Their Son

DeMarcus Cousins has been going through hard times over the past couple of years. He ruptured his Achilles two seasons ago when he was with the New Orleans Pelicans, then suffered a torn quad during the Golden State Warriors' run to the NBA Finals, and he's now dealing with a torn ACL he suffered this offseason after signing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

And his personal life is experiencing some turmoil as well, if this audio is to be believed. TMZ apparently obtained the audio of Cousins' phone call with his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Christy West, who wouldn't allow their seven-year-old son to attend his wedding over the weekend. On the tape, the man alleged to be Cousins then threatens to "put a bullet in her f---ing head."

Tensions were clearly high given Cousins was set to get married and his son was unable to celebrate the day with him, but as we've seen countless times with high-profile athletes and celebrities, threatening someone is never the right answer, considering how fast such interactions are leaked to the media.

And now, with how strict the NBA has been with such issues, an investigation into this could result in discipline for Cousins, who is unable to play anyway at the moment.
