Tobias Harris Agrees to Huge 5-Year Deal With 76ers

Just when you thought the NBA free agency frenzy quieted down for all of five minutes, the Philadelphia 76ers have pulled fans back in.
The Sixers are reportedly re-upping with free agent wing Tobias Harris to the tune of a five-year, $180 million contract, per agent and father Torrel Harris via ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Philadelphia acquired Harris earlier in this year at the trade deadline, surrendering a combination of players and future draft picks to the Los Angeles Clippers, all to get themselves over the hump and compete for the NBA championship.
This season, Harris averaged 20.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists, while shooting 48.7 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from behind the arc.

Considering the 76ers gave up so much in order to gain Harris' services for the remainder of the 2018-19 season, it would have been a shock if they allowed the veteran to walk in free agency for nothing.
Now that Harris is under contract for the next five years, the 76ers now set their focus on what to do with Jimmy Butler, who could end up receiving almost exactly the same contract.
