Georgia Fans Are Going to Be Hyped by Todd Gurley's Latest Tweet
By Jerry Trotta
Serious question: are Atlanta Falcons supporters or Georgia Bulldogs fans more pumped up about Todd Gurley making his way home to suit up for the NFL team?
The star running back spent less than 24 hours on the open market last week as the Falcons scooped him up after the Los Angeles Rams released him. Since then, the party hasn't stopped in Georgia, and the celebration surely continued into Wednesday night after Gurley tweeted out the footage of when he committed to the Bulldogs.
True Georgia diehards can probably recite Gurley's commitment speech word-for-word. The former Offensive Player of the Year spent three seasons in Athens, and was every bit of a superstar.
In 30 games for the Dawgs, Gurley carried the rock 510 times for 3,295 yards (6.3 yards per tote) and scored a whopping 36 touchdowns. He added 615 yards on 65 receptions and six scores.
Like we said earlier: we wouldn't at all be surprised if the bliss of Bulldogs buffs is trumping the felicity of Falcons fans. Either way, both fan bases will be counting down the days until Gurley's debut at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
