Tom Brady Calls Hit That Concussed Josh Allen 'Part of Football' for Mobile QBs

Tom Brady has never given anyone a reason to call him a mobile quarterback. And to hear him tell it, that's probably for the best given the risk involved.

It's been well documented ever since even before his NFL Combine performance that running the ball is far from one of Brady's strengths (although the TB12 QB sneak has still made its rounds in the 2019 NFL season). Now, the legendary Patriot is commenting on the brutal hit that Bills quarterback Josh Allen took in the Patriots' close victory over their division rivals, and while he's telling it like it is, it cannot have made Buffalo fans too happy.

It must be said that if an NFL defender had hit Brady like Jonathan Jones hit Allen, they might've gotten flagged or even fined. This wasn't a Vontaze Burfict situation, but you've got to feel for the Bills QB here.

Buffalo's Micah Hyde voiced his opinion on this subject as well, and was much less careful with his words than Brady was.

Even if Allen lost his protection on that play and didn't slide, there wasn't any need for Jonathan Jones to lay that helmet-to-helmet hit. Let's all just agree that we're rooting for Allen's swift recovery and leave it at that, eh?
