Tom Brady's Look Says it All in First Instagram Post Since Gronk Trade
By Michael Luciano
Rob Gronkowski's retirement lasted all of one season, as the future Hall of Fame tight end stayed true on his vow to only play alongside Tom Brady by realizing a trade from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The trade was made official today, with Gronk going to Tampa along with a seventh-round pick in exchange for a fourth-round pick. Brady was understandably thrilled that the best pass-catcher he ever played with is back in the fold, and his IG story gives us all the evidence we need.
Gronkowski managed just 682 yards and three touchdowns during his final season in New England, but his 2018 campaign was marred by injuries.
Now that Gronk has had a year away from the game to allow his body to heal up, he joins a Buccaneers team with Bruce Arians at the controls and Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the outside to attract the attention of any defense's best cover guys. We could see a mini-renaissance from Gronk at Raymond James Stadium.
Brady and Gronk might be all smiles, but the poor NFC South defenses that have to line up against this duo (at least) twice per year certainly aren't looking forward to the start of the season.
