Tom Brady Patriots Return Reportedly in the Cards With Expectation Team Provides Him More Weapons
By Jackson Thompson
The question of whether the New England Patriots need Tom Brady more, or if the reality is the opposite, might be answered sooner rather than later.
According to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report, the feeling around the NFL is that Brady will return to New England, but that is only one cog in the machine of New England's offseason plans.
Head coach Bill Belichick knows he can't win with anyone else under center, but also needs to give his 42-year-old quarterback more firepower on offense.
The Patriots are reportedly looking to bring in some weapons for Brady this offseason, with Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver AJ Green and Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry as potential acquisitions.
Brady will be entering his 21st season in the NFL in 2020, and expects to play beyond that until he is 45. He has played his entire career with the Patriots. The expiration of his current contract has given rise to endless speculation about him leaving New England for another team.
However, as an organization that has known nothing but success since Brady's arrival, the Patriots seem to know better than to let him finish his career elsewhere.
