We all know Tom Brady is the ultimate competitor. The six Super Bowl rings, three MVPs, and amazing longevity comprise and unmatched resume. But Brady's intensity can be offputting, even to the former teammates who know him best.

Just ask Rob Gronkowski.

The former Patriots tight end and teammate of Brady cited that the quarterback can be irrationally angry even if they're winning, making him a bummer to be around. He went off in grand fashion on TB12's recent attitude this weekend.

Gronk revealed this on the FOX pregame show before the Patriots got another win against the Cowboys. He further explained that Brady often pointed out the negatives in their wins, instead of noting what they did well and seeing what they could improve for next week.

Brady had a chance this week to rebut Gronkowski's thoughts, and he defended his "can-do-better" attitude on WEEI.

"I have a job to do,” Brady said. “I think my job, it’s very important to me. I want us to do as best we possibly can each week, like I always have. Everybody puts a lot into it and you want to see a great performance. When it’s less than that I don’t know what I should feel other than what is authentic to me and what is authentic to my own personal feelings and beliefs about how we should be performing and what we need to do in order to do better.”

It's fair to see this as Gronk being unable to match his former QB's intensity, which has been proven effective. After all, the tight end is known as quite the party animal.

But Brady's negativity has been more noticeable this season, especially when talking about his individual play or the team's offense.

It'll be interesting to see if Brady's pessimism affects the Patriots' morale down the road, with Gronk officially entrenched on the sidelines.
