Tom Brady's Right Elbow Injury Doesn't Sound Good
By Michael Luciano
It sounds like Tom Brady's right elbow injury wasn't just a tactic by the New England Patriots to psych out the Dallas Cowboys.
Brady, who will play today despite being listed as questionable due to an elbow injury, was unable to finish practice on Friday, with backup Jarrett Stidham taking most of the reps afterwards.
I'm not a doctor, but a right elbow injury for a right-handed quarterback might be problematic.
Brady is averaging just 6.8 yards per attempt this season, his lowest since 2006, with 14 touchdown passes against just five interceptions for the 9-1 Patriots. He hasn't been a world beater by any stretch, but he's still Tom Brady.
Stidham, a rookie fourth-round pick out of Auburn, has seen extremely limited action this season, completing just two of his four passes, with one of them being taken back to the house for a pick-six by Jamal Adams in a win against the Jets.
As good as that defense is, it goes without saying that New England should be holding their breath if Brady starts to struggle, as it could mean that this elbow injury is a sign of a more serious ailment down the pike.
