Tom Brady's Cryptic Photo Was Reportedly an Annoying Teaser for a Super Bowl Commercial
By Michael Luciano
Thought you were finally going to get a Super Bowl free of Tom Brady, eh? Oh, how wrong you were!
Brady set Twitter on fire a few days ago when he posted a vague black and white photo of himself walking into (or out of?!?) a football stadium, which some viewed as foreshadowing of his plans in free agency. However, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, there was no deep subtext in this tweet, as it was merely a teaser for an ad featuring Brady that is going to air during the Super Bowl.
Yes, I know. We're all disappointed.
Brady could leave New England, given the fact that he is an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career, with the Chargers and Titans having been mentioned as potential landing spots if he chooses not to re-sign in New England. Might we get a hint in this commercial? Probably not, but it's fun to dream.
The Brady free agency saga is expected to be drawn out for as long as possible, as the 43-year-old finds the ideal place to play season No. 21, but it appears that the cryptic tweet that worked Patriots Nation into a tizzy was nothing more than a preview for a Super Bowl commercial. Potentially as part of the Michael Bloomberg 2020 ad buy?
