Tom Brady Releases Extended Statement Reacting to Kobe and Gianna Bryant's Tragic Accident

The Kobe Bryant Memorial took place Monday at Staples Center, and those not in attendance shared tributes via social media.
Tom Brady waited until Monday morning, releasing an extended statement regarding the tragic deaths of Kobe and Gianna Bryant, and how the accident has been affecting him. The words he shared are both reflective and powerful.

Brady begins by asking the question of why this tragedy has affected him so much.
"In Kobe, we were able to witness the man in the arena," writes Brady. Someone like Brady who has spent his life in the spotlight admired the way Kobe lived his life both on and off the court.
His statement comes after a powerful memorial service this week that saw both athletes and celebrities come out to honor the late Bryants.
Beyonce changed the lyrics of her song "XO" during her performance at Kobe Bryant's memorial out of respect for everyone grieving. She changed the lyrics, "I'm crashing into you" to "I'm laughing into you" and "You kill me boy" to "Just kiss me boy." https://t.co/eYzsdT8KrS pic.twitter.com/nCKm4ZdWnI

Brady's statement on Bryant shows just how big of a star Kobe was and still is even today. An NFL legend was at a loss for words to describe what Bryant meant to him and to society.
Brady ends his missive by saying that it is up to all of us to carry on Bryant's legacy. It is hard not to take his words to heart and try to follow Brady's message in order to honor the Bryants.
