Tom Brady Wandered Into a Random Home in Tampa Wednesday Night Thinking He Was Visiting Bucs OC Byron Leftwich
By Jerry Trotta
Is Tampa Bay beginning to take its toll on new resident Tom Brady? We won't go as far as to say that the Buccaneers quarterback will soon personify the infamous "Florida Man" headline, but the 42-year-old isn't off to a great start in his new home.
First, Brady was caught working out at a park that was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. He was then asked to leave by a parks and recreation rep.
A few days later, and TB12 already has another blemish on his Tampa resume. The three-time MVP actually walked into the wrong home (without knocking) after planning to visit Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.
What has gotten into the buttoned-up gunslinger? We'll tell you what: Florida.
According to ESPN, Brady was just supposed to pick up a few things from Leftwich's house. Of course, a face-to-face meeting would fly in the face of social distancing guidelines, so kudos to them for keeping this in mind.
The report states that Leftwich was expecting Brady, but that still doesn't justify the latter waltzing in to an uncharted residence without knocking. To our knowledge, the two aren't that tight in terms of friendship. That's not to say they're enemies, but common courtesy states that you knock on the doors of the homes of unfamiliar faces.
We get that the six-time Super Bowl champ is looking to make friends out of his new coaching staff, but exercising a bit of caution could help.
