Tony Grossi Should Be Fired After Latest Hot Mic Baker Mayfield Slip-Up
By Michael Luciano
A Cleveland area radio host was caught on a hot mic at the NFL Combine calling 6-1 Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield a (expletive) midget", and the host in question has been identified as Tony Grossi. He is no stranger to sticking his foot in his mouth with controversial comments too.
It's clear Grossi isn't learning from his behavior in the past, and maybe a firing will be the only way to teach him a lesson.
Grossi, who has been let go from several jobs on radio thanks to his mouth and Twitter activity, has been known to take jabs at Mayfield on a Cowherd-ian level at times. Mayfield walked out on a press conference after a Grossi question once, but is that enough to show this much hatred? No.
While ESPN has already come out and announced he's been suspended, it isn't enough. He should be fired for this terrible act.
There isn't a soul in Cleveland that views Grossi as some sort of independent arbiter of Browns fandom and the true voice of Cleveland sports.
Rather, he's merely a troll that gets his clicks and listens through shock value. There won't be too many Browns fans sad to see him go if he ends up losing his job.
