Travis Kelce and Chris Jones Dealing With Injuries Heading Into Divisional Playoff Game vs Texans
By Brendan Balsamo
What was supposed to be a shootout between two superstar quarterbacks in the AFC Divisional Playoff might be more limited offensively than everyone once thought.
Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes could be lacking a major weapon in TE Travis Kelce on Sunday.
After a year with over 1,200 receiving yards and five touchdowns, the last thing the Chiefs want heading into their game against the Deshaun Watson-led Houston Texans is to be without their star tight end and one of Mahomes' top targets.
Not only are they at risk of being without Kelce, but defensive tackle Chris Jones was also limited in Chiefs practice on Thursday. Jones had nine sacks this season along with 23 solo tackles.
Not only will Jones' possible absence give Watson a better shot at finding holes in the Chiefs' defensive front, but Kelce being a non-factor will give the Texans defense a much easier time overall. Hopefully, one of the best offensive games football fans will have a chance to see all year will not be marred with injuries.
