Frank Lampard and Chelsea came into their Premier League matchup against Liverpool with plenty of questions about how they would defend against the Reds' attack, and they finally given us an answer. Poorly. Right back Trent Alexander-Arnold slammed one past Kepa Arrizabalaga on a free kick to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea thought they tied it 1-1 in the 27th minute, but Cesar Azpilicueta's goal was taken away by VAR. Not even three minutes later, Robert Firmino bagged Liverpool's second goal of the afternoon, sending Chelsea into a hole that they will have a hard time digging out of.

Some aren't sold on Lampard's fitness for this job, and games like this will do little to silence those critics. If anything, they'll get MUCH louder.
