Trent Williams Not Expected to Report to Redskins Training Camp
By Parker White

One of the strengths of the Washington Redskins heading into the 2019 season is their offensive line, but the top dog among their starting unit, left tackle Trent Williams, is not expected to report to training camp this week.
This isn't a huge surprise given that Williams requested a trade or release from the organization this offseason. He very well might sit out the entire training camp.
#Redskins LT Trent Williams is not expected to report to training camp with the rest of his teammates this week, sources tell me and @RapSheet. He didn't show for minicamp in June and it could be quite a while before he's back with the team.

Williams didn't show up to minicamp in June, and his absence from the team stems from not only wanting a new and improved contract, but his frustration with how the medical staff handled his small tumor on his scalp early this offseason.
It remains to be seen if the Redskins will give in to his demands, but he's a vital cog in their offensive operation.
A major storyline to watch for the #Redskins. Dissatisfaction with their handling of his medical situation and his desire for a new contract are among the reasons for one of the top players at his position. https://t.co/BgxCwHNLLF

The 31-year-old tackle is one of the best in the game at his position, so you can understand why he wants a new contract that makes him one of the highest paid offensive lineman in the game.
Williams has two years left on his contract, and of the $27 million remaining on his deal, none of it is guaranteed.
