Trevor Bauer Finally Reveals Meaning Behind His Bizarre Players' Weekend Jersey
By Parker White

Friday night is the start of Players' Weekend, meaning players from all 30 MLB teams will wear jerseys that have nicknames on the back. Some are creative, while some are boring, but there are some that are real head scratchers that have some deeper meaning.
Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Trevor Bauer, who is scheduled to pitch Sunday, will have the name J Ochart on the back of his. So...who is this person? What's a "J.O. CHART"?

The reason this name is on the back of Bauer's uniform is because the frontline starter for the Reds lost a bet during the offseason at Driveline Baseball, a data-driven development program he works out at.
Jason Ochart is the guy, who happens to be the Philadelphia Phillies' minor league hitting coordinator, as well as a man who beat Bauer in the Driveline hitters vs. Bauer competition.
People are asking me why @BauerOutage is wearing my name on his jersey for Players Weekend..

I won year 3 of the Driveline hitters v Bauer bet. I lost the first two years...These are the two swings that won it.

Hmm. So non-big leaguers can get a hold of Bauer's top-shelf stuff. Interesting.
Certainly worth a jersey modification, in our opinion.
