Trevor Lawrence Posts Heartfelt Message to Clemson Fans on Instagram After National Championship Loss to LSU

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence had a new experience Monday night against LSU. He lost a game.

Lawrence failed to throw a touchdown (though he did run one in), while Joe Burrow threw five in the 42-25 LSU victory. Losing in a championship game is never easy and Lawrence decided to take to Instagram to share a heartfelt message to both fans and his teammates.

It’s hard to find the words to sum up this year, but I’ll keep it short. I’m thankful for everyone and everything that has happened this season. It’s been challenging, unique, and a whole lotta fun. I’m so appreciative to this senior class and the 2 years I got to spend with them. I’m grateful to get to call my teammates family, because they really are. Adversity teaches and shows you who you really are. I thank God for teaching me more now than ever before. I’m also learning that life is mostly about how you respond, not what happens. So here’s to a heck of a year and lots of great memories. Clemson family, we love you. We will be back ?

This was the quarterback's first real disappointment during his Clemson career and he is handling it rather well. Lawrence knows he has an NFL future so there is no need to be anything other that grateful after yet another amazing season.

Lawerence's worst game of the season came against LSU and Clemson still managed to score 25 points. His stock may have taken a bit of a hit after the rough showing against a great team, but that is to be expected at times for any quarterback. Sometimes the other team is simply better.

The quarterback's Instagram post should have Clemson fans excited for next season now that Lawrence finally has a reason for revenge.
