VIDEO: Troy Aikman Makes Surprisingly Condescending Remark About Cooper Kupp's Dad for No Reason
By Sam Dunn
Did you know that Cooper Kupp's dad, Craig, was once an NFL quarterback? It's possible that you did. If so, you may recall that he played for the Cowboys in 1991, at which time he was behind future Hall of Famer Troy Aikman on the depth chart. Well, during FOX's Thurdsay night broadcast featuring Craig's son's Rams taking on the Seahawks, Aikman reminisced about his old teammate from the commentary booth. And it was... uncharitable.
Why even say this? Just say he was your teammate and then shut your piehole. Don't be rude. It's not hard.
I mean, is it possible that Aikman could have made it any more clear that he utterly forgot the existence of Craig Kupp? And that it took him basically forever to make this father-son connection in his head?
For shame, Troy. For shame.
