Troy Aikman's 'Keys' for Saints Are Impressively Lazy
By Ian Anderson
There is laziness and then there is this brilliance from Troy Aikman. You get paid millions to commentate on football games, so you might as well put in the slightest bit of effort, right?
Prior to kickoff of the New Orleans Saints hosting the Minnesota Vikings in the first of Sunday's two Wild Card matchups, Aikman gave his keys to the game and they're on par with a six-year-old's work.
The Saints need to "Do what they've done". Gee, thanks Troy, there was no way any NFL viewer could have thought of this on their own.
There seemed to be no chance that Aikman could go into remotely any more detail regarding this bold claim. He could not have possibly said something about the Saints needing to throw the ball to superstar running back Alvin Kamara out of the backfield more, or even keying their defense on Dalvin Cook.
Horrible bit of commentary here.
Troy followed that bit of brilliance by saying that Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs has not played quarterback when Minnesota attempted to run a trick play.
How in the world do people like Aikman and Booger McFarland get paid so much money to do such horrible jobs commentating? Surely there have to be some better candidates for primetime NFL games.
