Truist Financial Corp Supporting Braves' Hourly Workers During Coronavirus Outbreak
By Scott Rogust

The coronavirus pandemic has caused the nation to enter a shutdown, forcing many hourly workers out of a job for the foreseeable future. Individuals that are affected the most are those that work in professional sports venues, who have to sit at home due to the various league suspensions.
Truist Financial Corporation is making a pledge to help those hourly workers in the Atlanta Braves organization. After the Braves made a $1 million pledge, Truist set up a $250,000 grant to support the workers at Truist Park, spring facility CoolToday Park, and the Braves' minor league facilities.

“What matters most during these unprecedented times is how we can all come together to support our partners and communities,” said Dontá Wilson, chief digital and client experience officer for Truist, via Ballpark Digest. “Together with the Braves, we are committed to lending a hand to the gameday workers who help make our trips to the ballpark so special. Our purpose is to inspire and build better lives and communities, and we hope this effort inspires others to support workers who are affected by the pandemic.”
A very kind gesture by Truist during these tough times.
This news comes a day after MLB commissioner Rob Manfred announced that the 30 clubs will be donating at least $1 million to donate to their employees who rely on weekly and biweekly paychecks.

Additionally, the Braves are accepting donations to help with their relief fund.
These are trying times for the world as we all deal with this pandemic. Whatever the case may be, the best thing that everyone can do is practice social distancing, stay at home, and help slow the spread of the coronavirus. At least for the hourly workers in the baseball industry are being compensated until things get back to normal.
