Tua Tagovailoa Could Throw for NFL Teams on Pro Day But Won't at Combine

The biggest wild card of the 2020 NFL Draft is Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Coming off hip surgery, the junior quarterback's draft stock is forever fluctuating.
Now, he's trending in the right direction.
According to Tagovailoa's agent, Leigh Steinberg, he will be healthy enough to throw for NFL teams, but it won't happen at the Scouting Combine in February. Rather, it seems likely to come at Alabama's Pro Day in April.
Tagovailoa was pegged by many as the presumptive first overall pick in the 2020 draft. Unfortunately for him, he suffered a horrific hip injury in November against Mississippi State, which required surgery.
While the procedure was a success, there were doubts as to whether Tagovailoa would declare for the draft, with uncertainty surrounding his first-round projections. After mulling his decision, the southpaw elected to forego his senior year and declare for the NFL Draft.
If he's healthy enough in April, Tagovailoa will have the chance to showcase his talents to prospective NFL teams. The good thing is, many of the teams in search of a signal caller of the future won't need to start Tagovailoa right away.
After seemingly devastating circumstances, everything is coming up positively for Tua Tagovailoa. But it'll be a little while.
