Tua Tagovailoa Hints at Looming NFL Draft Decision With Latest Snapchat Story
By Mark Powell
Right in the middle of the College Football Playoff? Really, Tua?
The Alabama Crimson Tide QB sent fans into a mini panic with a Snapchat story which just so happened to be sent out right after his former teammate, Jalen Hurts, completed a disappointing effort in the CFP Semifinal against LSU.
Tagovailoa has previously failed to commit to entering the NFL Draft, as his stock took a hit when he went down with a hip injury. Returning to Alabama, paired with a strong season from Tagovailoa, could see his outlook change for the better.
We'll give you all the time you need, Tua.
Tagovailoa is still a likely top-15 pick, even if he cannot perform in the NFL Combine or is limited in team workouts. With that in mind, it seems unlikely he'd risk another injury at Alabama, even if he badly wants one more chance at glory with Nick Saban.
Tagovailoa's decision will have a great impact on the 2020 NFL Draft, one way or the other. Teams may be forced to reach for unproven talent when they otherwise would have selected the proven, yet injured, Alabama star.
