VIDEO: Tua Tagovailoa Fumbles in Red Zone vs LSU Possibly Because of a Ghost or Something
By Sam Dunn
This is just about the last thing you want to see if you're one of the #RollTide faithful. On a spirited opening drive in Saturday's college football mega-showdown against LSU, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa took off running with his team facing third-and-goal from eight yards out. Unfortunately, he never secured the ball after switching hands.
That's just odious. Awful. Completely out of character. And it squashed what should have been three points at the very least for the defending SEC champs.
Was it the pressure of the moment that flummoxed Tua there? Maybe. Was it a ghost? Like, some kind of Bayou Bengals phantasm from days gone by? Also maybe. Because a guy like Tagovailoa making this kind of error just makes zero sense.
