Twins Pitcher and Former Uber Driver Randy Dobnak is Already the Best Story of MLB Postseason
By Ryan Giglio

These are the kinds of stories we love hearing during the MLB postseason.
The most inspiring one this year details Twins pitcher Randy Dobnak.
Two years ago, Dobnak was playing baseball in the Independent League and drove for Uber as a second job. On Saturday, he will be starting Game 2 of the ALDS at Yankee Stadium for the Twins.

As if the story isn't great enough, Dobnak and his then-fiancè set their wedding date for last weekend, having no idea he would be in the big leagues at this point.
Though he said he still feels a little guilty about it, Dobnak was granted permission to leave the team last weekend so he could get hitched.
Randy Dobnak, Game 2 Twins starter and excellent Uber driver (4.99 rating), was nervous about getting married Sept. 28 (in season). But Twins bosses reassured him it was OK. Dobnak scheduled ceremony 2 yrs ago, when an independent ball guy/driver, never dreaming he’d be MLBer now

Dobnak made his big-league debut in August, but manager Rocco Baldelli chose him to start Game 2 after the pitcher's sensational September.
In 28.1 innings for the season, Dobnak went 2-1 with a 1.59 ERA and struck out 23.
The former Uber driver's next task is shut down the powerful Yankees lineup and help the Twins avoid a 2-0 deficit in the short series after Friday's loss.
