Twins Reach Agreement on 3-Year Extension With Slugger Miguel Sano
By Karl Rasmussen

Amid all the finalizations of pre-arbitration contract agreements, the Minnesota Twins managed to lock down a key piece for the future.
Per ESPN's Jeff Passan, the Twins agreed to a three-year extension with slugger Miguel Sano.
Third baseman Miguel Sano is in agreement with the Minnesota Twins on a three-year contract extension, a source familiar with the deal tells ESPN. It includes a club option for the 2023 season and will buy out two year sof free agency.

The deal will buy out two years of free agency, keeping Sano in the Twin Cities until 2023, at which point the contract features a club option.
Last year Sano slashed .247/.346/.576 with 34 home runs and 79 RBI in 380 at bats. After a contentious 2018 campaign that saw him get demoted, Sano managed to bounce back last season and put up more than serviceable numbers, particularly in the power department.
Twins announce that they've avoided arbitration by agreeing to one-year deals with Byron Buxton, Eddie Rosario, Taylor Rogers, Trevor May, and Tyler Duffey.

That leaves Jose Berrios and Miguel Sano as their only arbitration-eligible players without deals in place.
Rather than enter arbitration hearings with Sano, the Twins opted instead to just work out a deal for the foreseeable future.
Now, the only remaining arbitration-eligible player on the roster is Jose Berrios, with whom the Twins are still in negotiations with.
