Twins Set MLB Record With Latest Display of Raw Power Against White Sox
By Brendan Azoff

The Minnesota Twins are on a prolific power pace this season, and despite having a lineup that was completely overlooked heading into 2019, they have wrecked baseballs at a historic rate.
On Thursday, the Twins set another MLB record, thanks in large part to a three-homer game from Nelson Cruz.
This is #MNTwins' 9th 5-homer game of the season. No team in MLB history has had as many 5-homer games as the Twins. The 1977 #RedSox had 8.

Nine games this season the Twins have hit five home runs, an incredible accomplishment considering there is still 61 games left this season. The Twins have a league high 199 home runs, putting them on pace to hit over 300, shattering the record set by the 2018 Yankees who hit 266.

Nelson Cruz led the Twins lineup with three bombs, all of which traveled at least 430 feet, while Max Kepler and Miguel Sano had a more modest one homer game.
The Twins continue to be the biggest surprise in the MLB, and their latest power surge goes to show that their bats are legit and should be feared.
