Twins Single-A Minor League Team Undergoes Absolutely Wild Rebrand

One of the biggest allures of Minor League Baseball is the incredibly unique team names and branding.
Well, the Minnesota Twins' Single-A affiliate just underwent a crazy rebrand, transforming from the Fort Myers Miracle into the newly-named Fort Myers Mighty Mussels.

It's honestly a miracle that this idea was not vetoed as soon as it was presented.
The Miracle used to don a tropical-themed jersey with a palm tree logo. Now, they'll be in purple and gold, and their new mascot is... a muscular mussel.
If you were having trouble envisioning the in-person mascot for the Mighty Mussels, here's a photo to help complete the image.

If we're being honest, the new mascot looks more like a jacked Lego figure on steroids than it does a mollusk.
Throughout all of the oddly-branded minor league baseball teams across the nation, the latest rebrand in Fort Myers is certainly one of the strangest. It's not quite on the same level as the "Udder Tuggers" but it's close.
