The Minnesota Twins (53-30) will continue their road trip tonight against the Oakland Athletics (46-39) before ending the first half at home before the break. This may not be a division matchup, but it's an intriguing series between a first-place Twins teams against an A's squad who is just a half-game out of a Wild Card spot.

Minnesota will hand the ball to All-Star pitcher Jake Odorizzi, who in 16 starts this season owns a 10-3 record with a 2.73 ERA and has 94 strikeouts over 85.2 innings. After a month of May where he owned a sub-1.00 ERA, Odorizzi came down to earth a bit and posted a 3.95 ERA over five June starts.

Right-hander Daniel Mengden is coming off a good start against the Cardinals during which he tossed six shutout innings and recorded five strikeouts. In just six appearances (four starts) this season, Mengden owns a 2-1 record with a 4.03 ERA.
