Rangers Lineup

Texas was blown out on Friday, which has forced manager Chris Woodward to assemble his Grade A lineup, including slugger Joey Gallo back in action, hitting cleanup and playing center field.

Willie Calhoun is also getting the start for the Rangers in left field and batting second. It's been a rough go of it recently for Calhoun, as he's currently in a 2-for-20 slump.

Right-hander Jesse Chavez will toe the mound for Texas this afternoon. In 36 appearances (six starts), he owns a 3-3 record with a 2.97 ERA. The bulk of his time has come out of the bullpen this year, but he's back in the rotation and Chavez is coming off a start against Tampa Bay, tossing six innings and allowing just three runs on five hits while striking out eight.

Twins Lineup

Despite the offense breaking out last night, manager Rocco Baldelli has made some small changes, including LaMonte Wade Jr. getting the start in left field and batting sixth.

Catcher Jason Castro will also get the assignment behind the dish in place of Mitch Garver, who went 2-for-4 with his 13th home run of the season last night.

On the mound for Minnesota is right-hander Michael Pineda, who in 16 starts owns a 5-4 record with a 4.78 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. Pineda is coming off a win against the White Sox where he lasted six innings and allowed just one run with eight strikeouts.
