Twitter Roasted the Astros After Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman and Jim Crane Were Honored at Houston Sports Awards
By Michael Luciano

The Houston Astros might have been the orchestrators of the most brazen cheating scandal this side of the Black Sox, but that hasn't stopped the local media from heaping praise on them.
At the Houston Sports Awards, Astros owner Jim Crane was named Executive of the Year, while third baseman Alex Bregman was named Athlete of the Year and Jose Altuve's home run that won the ALCS was named the Moment of the Year.
Those expecting the Astros to get bodied on Twitter were not disappointed.

That trash can did as much work as anyone in helping the Astros reach the promised land, but hardware seems to be hard to come by.

This is an extremely puzzling time to send out this tweet. They had to know this would be the response on Twitter given how the franchise has been eviscerated over the last few weeks.
Oh boy, here it comes. Why did you post this one ?

Say a little prayer for the Astros' social media manager. They're not having a good evening.

The Astros might have won some more hardware tonight, but if they think this is putting even 1 percent of the hate that cropped up as a result of this scandal to bed, that's a major miscalculation.
