With hardly any news to report on regarding the 2020 MLB season, whose fate is as murky as its ever been throughout the months-long negotiating process, the DMs of the game's most recognized reporters are likely wide open.

Unfortunately for SNY's Andy Martino, this resulted in him getting absolutely owned by a Twitter troll who tricked him into thanking a porn star that was dressed as an Army veteran for his service to the country.

Most regular Twitter users have seen this prank be attempted in the past, and it's quite obvious that Martino hadn't come across it as of Monday. In his defense, he probably didn't even look and just responded to the positive message and decided to be nice in return. You can call him naive, but the troll was extremely committed to the cause as he clearly did his research before messaging the SNY insider.

Taking the sincerity from the trickster into consideration, we wouldn't be surprised if he managed to bamboozle another prominent MLB reporter in the near future. Let Martino's humiliating experience serve as a fair warning.
