After five years of eligibility, cornerback Ty Law was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in February 2019. Apparently, he got a little bit of help.

On Adam Schefter's podcast for ESPN, Law said both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady wrote letters of recommendation to Canton in hopes of helping the former Patriots CB get inducted in the Hall of Fame.

Brady's support for his former teammate's Hall of Fame induction is no surprise, as the two played together for a number of years. The surprising twist is Manning's support for Law, who had a career game with three interceptions against Peyton in the 2003 AFC Championship Game.

For one of the game's best quarterbacks to recommend Law is evidence of respect he held for the cornerback's game, especially since the two faced off a number of times throughout their careers.

The longtime New England cornerback played 15 seasons with the Patriots, Jets and Broncos recording a career 53 interceptions and 7 total touchdowns.

Law was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame alongside fellow defensive backs Champ Bailey and Ed Reed, among others.
