Ty Law Says Peyton Manning Tried to Trick Him Into Spilling Info About Patriots Defense by Getting Him Drunk
By Mark Powell

Peyton Manning is a soon-to-be Hall of Fame QB, and is in the conversation for the greatest of all time at his position. But, if he had one nemesis throughout his NFL career, it was former New England Patriots cornerback Ty Law, who himself was enshrined in Canton in 2019.
Manning was willing to go to great lengths to bend the arc of history, however, and according to Law, he even tried to get him drunk to dish out some details about New England's defensive scheme while the two were at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii.

That's some serious gamesmanship by Manning, but Law was smart enough not to give in.
"He'd feed you these mai tais, then he'd butter you up and ask you, 'What did you see?' and this and that. I was like, 'Peyton, I ain't falling for that [expletive].'" Law told the "Dale & Keefe" show on WEEI sports radio in Boston.

Manning's calm, affable demeanor might not always suggest it, but he was as competitive as they come. Law's career dominance over Manning, which included nine interceptions, made him one of the rare players Peyton never got revenge against.
