Tyreek Hill's Fiancee Reportedly Denied NFL's Requests for Meetings During Investigation
By Adam Weinrib

Though most of us were shocked when absolutely nothing of consequence came out of the NFL's look into Tyreek Hill's possible child abuse this offseason, the picture clarifies a bit when you learn that one key figure wasn't involved in the proceedings.
Hill's fiancee Crystal Espinal, the other central figure in the event and the only other voice that can be heard on the now-famous tapes, refused to speak to the league as they attempted to paint a full picture of the events in question.
During its investigation, NFL spoke with multiple people on both sides of the allegations into #Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill, including Hill. His fiancee Crystal Espinal did not make herself available, despite repeated attempts. If new info surfaces, it’ll be reopened. Closed as of now.

Certainly, this seems ominous.
The NFL cleared Hill and did not suspend him for any length of time, after he wasn't convicted in a court of law. Either the evidence is mounting that the situation is more complex than we imagined, or the NFL simply wasn't able to gather the requisite information needed due to Espinal's non-compliance.
Of course, the league has suspended players for far less, and if nothing else, this segment alone of the taped fight between Hill and Espinal seems to merit further consideration and action.
I’m still unclear, given his past, how this alone wasn’t worthy of a suspension for Hill. pic.twitter.com/dImdeQpJPv

Only time will tell why exactly Espinal shied away here, but regardless, the league did not find enough evidence to suspend Hill without her participation.
