Tyreek Hill Has Funny Tweet in Response to Andy Reid Making One-Handed Grab Atop Chiefs Float During Parade
By Jackson Thompson
Tyreek Hill hauled in nine receptions against the 49ers in the Super Bowl on Sunday, but his head coach Andy Reid made a bigger catch just two days later. At the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory parade in downtown Kansas City, Reid snagged a pass from a fan while atop a moving float.
Reid's snag was no exception to social media's one-handed catch protocol, as footage of it rapidly flooded the web. In the wake Reid's viral fame, Hill gloated on behalf of his coach's hands with a funny tweet.
Hill's Tweet incited a number of generally positive reactions from fans. However, several opponent's on Hill's stance have cited Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson's similar one-handed grab of a full beer can at the Eagles' Super Bowl Parade two years ago.
Pederson, a disciple of Reid as one of his former assistants, also made his one-handed catch atop a moving float. Perhaps Hill's argument should have been extended to only exclude coaches outside of the Mike Holmgren coaching tree.
