Tyreek Hill Tweets Optimism That Brett Veach Can Keep Chiefs Weapons Together Long-Term in Kansas City

Kansas City Chiefs fans might still be allowed to gloat about their Super Bowl, but the team faces an uncertain future after Patrick Mahomes gets paid, as players like Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Damien Williams might need to be sent packing to account for Mahomes' astronomical contract.
Tyreek Hill thinks that if anyone has the ability to navigate the salary cap and keep all of these players together, though, it's Chiefs GM Brett Veach. The speedy receiver tweeted out his affirmation on Saturday that Veach will find a way to keep Andy Reid's skill position players.
Veach's Chiefs at one point had only a few HUNDRED dollars in cap space. By restructuring the contract of Sammy Watkins and a few other money-saving feats here and there, Veach was able to make the Chiefs financially flexible while adding enough money for the contracts of promising rookies like Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Willie Gay.
If that doesn't confirm what a masterful GM he is, nothing will.
Veach has the perfect combination of scouting excellence and cap wizardry to keep the Chiefs rolling well into the next decade. If anyone can keep all of those spare parts together, it's the guy who drafted Mahomes.
