VIDEO: Tyson Fury Calls for Fight With Anthony Joshua if Deontay Wilder Declines Rematch
By Scott Rogust
Tyson Fury stunned the world on Saturday night after he utterly decimated Deontay Wilder to win the WBC heavyweight championship. No one doubted Fury's ability to go one-on-one with the "Bronze Bomber," based off their first matchup, but this time around was a completely different story. Fury outclassed Wilder for the entire fight before the champ's corner threw in the towel in the seventh round. Wilder does have a rematch clause in his contract, but if he opts against it, Fury has another opponent on his mind: Anthony Joshua.
Fury obviously holds the WBC crown, but Joshua holds the other three major heavyweight titles in the world. Additionally, this potential bout would result in the first undisputed heavyweight champ since Lennox Lewis in 2000. That's money.
However, if that doesn't come to fruition, Wilder-Fury III would take place next. To make the final fight in the trilogy that much bigger, the "Gypsy King" is pushing for 70,000-seat Allegiant Stadium (home to the Las Vegas Raiders) to play host to the bout.
A heavyweight unification match? Where do we sign up?
