By Parker White

The Boston Red Sox could be getting an infielder back very soon, and it's not the former MVP you were initially thinking of.
According to Triple-A Pawtucket play-by-play broadcaster Mike Monaco, Tzu-Wei Lin will begin a rehab assignment tonight in Pawtucket, starting at shortstop and batting second in the order.

Lin has been on the injured list since early-May after hurting his left knee on an awkward slide at second base against the Chicago White Sox. He's been working out in Pawtucket for the last week, including taking batting practice. Now he's ready for game action with hopes of returning to the big league squad very soon.
