UFC 249 Live Stream Reddit

There will be a live sporting event in the United States for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic brought the world to a standstill. UFC 249 will take place inside an empty VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. this Saturday. The main event of the card will be Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title, with Henry Cejudo defending his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz in the co-main event.

The early preliminary fights will take place at 6:30 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass and ESPN+. The prelims will continue at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on ESPN and ESPN+. The main card will air at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+ pay-per-view. Additional streaming options are available at the Reddit MMA Streams subreddit community.

Ferguson was originally slated to fight reigning lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 249 after his win over Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone at UFC 238. But, as has been the case every time the two were slated to face off, the fight was called off due to unforeseen circumstances. This time, Nurmagomedov was unable to leave Russia because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, Ferguson will defend his interim title against Justin Gaethje, who's currently riding a three-fight winning streak, with his latest victory, ironically, coming against Cerrone this past September.

As for the co-main event, Cejudo will defend his bantamweight title for the first time since defeating Marlon Moraes for the belt back at UFC 238. Cejudo was originally slated to face Jose Aldo, but the veteran bowed out due to injury. Instead, he'll face Cruz, who hasn't fought in the octagon since his bantamweight title loss to Cody Garbrandt in 2016. Cruz will look to shake off his rust to shut the mouth of "Triple C" and to win back his championship.
