With the current coronavirus pandemic, it is very easy to get caught up in the present, and the reality is no sports really stinks. However, the hype of upcoming events after the passing of this virus will never be greater, with fans from every spectrum desperate for any athletic action. The UFC should capitalize on this and announce future fights, even if no dates are confirmed. Here are four future matchups that should be announced to give fight fans hope.

4. Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal Rematch

One of the most enjoyable fights of 2019, Jorge Masvidal was victorious over Nate Diaz by doctor stoppage after a cut over Nate's eye was deemed too dangerous to continue. This gave Masvidal the BMF title, but many fans wanted a rematch to see if there could be a final conclusion to this matchup. An announcement of a matchup like this, where both guys are always ready to throw down, could fuel the UFC hype train for months.

3. Daniel Cormier vs. Stipe Miocic

Nothing would excite UFC fans more than being able to witness one of the greatest fighters in the company have a chance to go out on top. Daniel Cormier has said it would take a pretty big fight for him to come out of retirement, and a trilogy fight against the man who took his Heavyweight crown in Stipe Miocic could be the perfect way to cap off his career.

2. Conor McGregor vs. Justin Gaethje

It doesn't take a lot of work to hype up a Conor McGregor fight. Combine that with the possibility of fans being deprived of fights for months, and the pay-per-view could break UFC numbers. Not only would it be a fight between two brawlers, as Gaethje has shown an affinity for knocking people out, but it could be Conor's pathway to get back to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

1. Return of Georges St. Pierre Against Israel Adesanya

The Middleweight division is in a peculiar situation right now. With no clear contenders outside of Paulo Costa for Israel Adesanya's crown, it could open up outside possibilities for challengers to the Middleweight belt. One of those possibilities could be the return of the legendary Georges St. Pierre to the octagon. St. Pierre vacated the belt after UFC 217 while fighting Ulcerative colitis, but has stated in past interviews that he is completely recovered. What better way to generate revenue and attention around the UFC again than to pair a legend against the sport's brightest rising star?
