With the winner of this match will be one step closer to a shot at the heavyweight title, so the stakes are significant for both main even fighters.

So far, Blaydes has only lost twice in his UFC career, both against the fearsome Francis Ngannou, but has been dominant in many of his other matchups. On the other hand, Volkov has lost seven times, but recently secured an impressive win over former NFL player Greg Hardy.
