Umpire in Yankees-Astros Game Has Unfortunate Wet Spot in Pants Behind Home Plate
By Sean Facey
Manny Gonzalez might need a new pair of pants after Saturday's game between the Yankees and Astros.
The home plate umpire has an unfortunate wet spot right near his groin that, due to his ever-present position behind the dish, is quite easy to see.
If the umpires are trying to gain back some dignity following their strange Twitter rant over Manny Machado, then this certainly won't help their case.
It's also interestingly segmented into two distinct locations with a decently-sized dry patch in between.
It's likely just sweat from the stress of the game. The two teams have delivered some quality baseball on Saturday night, slugging go-ahead and game-tying home runs as if they were going out of style.
The Yankees even tied one of their longer-standing franchise records, courtesy of Gio Urshela.
That mass quantity of dingers is enough to make you pee yourself.
It's the first time in their four-game set in the Bronx that they've kept it close late. For the most part, the Yankees have dominated the Astros. They didn't trail in either of the first two games of the series.
Next time, though, a little bit of antiperspirant might be in order.
